Áine is a past pupil of Gaelscoil an Chaistil. She has three younger brothers, two dogs and two chickens who lay when they feel like it! Coming to CPC was an easy decision. Áine lives a stone’s throw away. Importantly, though, the school’s reputation for sport and academic excellence, in the local and wider community, were the main reasons she came. She clearly remembers her first day - the nerves and excitement. Within a week, she felt like she was at home, safe and secure! Áine is a talented Irish dancer, athlete and musician. She dances for the Lír School, plays camogie, and is about to embark on Grade 6 piano examination. Áine can also play the fiddle and tin whistle (the latter at Grade 8). She loves CPC, its sport, its community, and the chances she is getting to excel academically. She was the Top Girl in Year 9! Her favourite subjects are art, PE and maths; some day she is hoping to study one (or all) at university. Áine is a fluent Irish speaker and practises with her younger brothers! Every year, she enjoys family holidays in France.
