The GCSE results obtained by pupils at Cross and Passion College on Thursday 24th August were a fabulous reflection of the hard work and dedication shown by young people and the staff this year, however, there were a number of success stories which really stood out.
These five young ladies each achieved at least 10 A* grades and between them they were awarded a staggering 52 A* grades.
Paying tribute to their achievement, Principal Mr Paul McClean said "The level of effort put in to obtain this standard of grading is huge and I wish to congratulate these young girls and their families on showing commitment, dedication and perseverance over the last two years. Gaining an A* grade in any subject is a reflection that pupils can combine their natural ability with real graft, but to achieve 10 A* grades is an exceptional performance for any pupil. The fact that five of our students have all achieved this feat is a wonderful accolade to their spirit and a testament to the dedication and support shown by our staff."
"There will be very few schools in the country where this kind of performance is replicated and these young girls will go on to great success over the next few years and beyond. The challenge has been laid down for some of our boys to join this group next year!"
