Pupils committed to the Pope John Paul II Award

Pupils at the dinner

Under the guidance of Head of Religious Studies, Mrs Campbell, a group of sixth form pupils are undertaking the Pope John Paul II Award.

This Award was created to commemorate the late Pope John Paul II who was so committed to young people and who had such belief and confidence in them. It is aimed at Year 13 pupils and is committed to helping young people enhance their spiritual, physical, emotional and social development through participation in school, parish and community activities.

The Award enables participants to take an active part in the life of their Church, their community and society and enables them to become more aware of the teaching and role of the Catholic Church in the world.

Our pupils have been taking part in numerous activities as part of this award and are pictured above at the annual Ballycastle St Vincent de Paul dinner where they were singing.
