Wednesday 15th March at 4.00pm in the school Assembly Hall. Prospective pupils for sixth year in September 2023 are most welcome to attend.
Members of our CPC Community gathered to commemorate Holocaust Memorial Day, with the theme for 2023 being ‘Ordinary People’. HMD in a day we put aside to come together to remember, to learn about the Holocaust, Nazi Persecution in Europe and the genocides that followed in Cambodia, Rwanda, Bosnia and Darfur and recognising the important contributions of Ordinary People.
Key Stage Three pupils led a series of whole school assemblies exploring the contributions of Ordinary People who by their actions made extraordinary contributions to the world, risking their lives, their livelihoods and their families to help those facing persecution.
They spoke about the role Sir Nicholas Winton, a young stockbroker who rescued 669 children from Czechoslovakia, bringing them to the UK thereby sparing them from the horrors of the Holocaust.
A number of Year 10 students paid a visit to the Causeway Coast & Glens exhibition in town as ambassadors of the school.
Members of our CPC Community including staff and students paid tribute to those Ordinary People with their own personal messages of HOPE, LOVE or PEACE for all people around the world for our CPC Memorial.
Dear Parent/Carer
In consultation with our Board of Governors, we need to put the following arrangements in place due to emergency work required to repair our electricity and heating system.
Teachers will communicate with pupils via Email/TEAMS to ensure your child make best use of their time at home.
We appreciate that this is not an ideal situation we are faced with but due to the adverse weather conditions and taking into consideration the well-being of pupils and staff, we unfortunately are left with no other option. The Education Authority who are responsible for the maintenance are doing their best to carry out this emergency work over the next few days.
Sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused.
Kind regards,
Geraldine Duffy
