On Tuesday 15th November 2016 a large number of CPC pupils took part in the Gaeilge 24hr Challenge where the aim is to encourage young people to try speak Irish non-stop for one whole day - 24 hours: at home, at school, in shops and businesses, around the town, with freinds, in sports and youth clubs and everywhere else! This challenge will help to open the minds of young people and allow them to experience the Irish language in a unique and positive way. The Challenge, which is in its fifth year, is run by Conradh Na Gaeilge and this year more than 300 schools registered and over 30,000 pupils throughout Ireland participated. Every student who took part got ideas and phrases for the day along with a selection of Irish language gooddies. Some of the CPC pupils who took part are pictured below;
